My translation of a chat with Daniela (Zona Oeste, Bs. As., Arg.), from 08:54:21 PM to 09:10:25 PM of 02/17/2006.

This summer I decided to get down to read a little, and after finishing a couple of books, I chose to carry on reading with famous "Da Vinci Code", which had been partially abandoned because of study reasons since last year, but I have to admit it's interesting. Having read something else -but not enough so as to finish it-, I found lots of novelties related to religion, the Bible and so on, which gave me more than a surprise, despite considering myself as an agnostic. But no one would have thought there were so many hidden messages, so many ideas determined to show a reality which was hidden for years to the world, but which probably needed to remain discreetly hidden to be able to be safe until now. I'm not going to reveal anything I've read because I think Dan Brown knows how to do it better -and, anyway, the movie will be on the cinemas this year-, but I'm going to refer to something that sincerely shocked me, more because of the moment of my life which it involves than because of how trangressor it is. I showed it to some selected people, as our friend from the top of this post, and she suggested me not doing it... but I couldn't let them keep on lying us like this. Well guys, if you couldn't come back to reality, I can recommend you my head psycologist, Alejandra, who I don't know if she'll solve your problem but at least she gives me half her incomes and we earn something that way.

And, for the eskeptical, I'll give them the freedom to take up searching in Google, Yahoo! or your favourite searcher about Disney and these messages -in other movies too, and stronger ones, be careful-. I'll tell you I've got the movie in my computer and I could prove it by myself.

Where are you supposed to be in 20 years?

"In 1986 they were the best of friends. 20 years later, on the night of their high school reunion, one of them has been murdered.

This is the story of six friends told over 20 years.

...that's the way the relator introduces every episode of this exciting but unlucky series. Adding a totally-new concept to TV, Reunion, on air in Argentina since last November, shows us the evolution of three boys and three girls' lives throughout two decades, starting from their prom day in 1986, everything is just one season. Having the best of the relationships in those moments, at present five of them are considered suspects of the murder of the sixth member. The interesting is, with no doubt, the format which was chosen: each chapter develops a different year in those people's lives, involving from drama (past) to mystery situations (present).
Although most of the time the series is based on flashbacks about the past, there are also today scenes which show the rest of the characters being investigated and acting in a much more arrogant and skeptical way if you compare them with the ones you perceive in previous years.
Besides from the original idea, the sequence of events is totally trapping, specially the oportunity to see how a lies net is kept along the years and grows to hide the original true facts which could "dismantle" the whole group. So, you can see from love to deceiving relationships, the start of new projects to the ending of commitments, it's seen how the characters grow up and progress professionally, but from a totally-innovative perspective.


Unluckily for the "already-turned-into-fans" like me, in the USA FOX decided to take it off air because of not keeping the desired amount of audience in a little time, although it followed "The O.C." and could have taken advantage of all of those viewers. Just nine chapters were televised (till 1994) and it's not known how the serie will end because, according to its creators, it's still necessary to know lots of events and people who'd appear later and would influence in the mysterious murder. However, there's also the possibility that Warner Bros. takes it and finishes it, so new ideas started to appear around the Internet which could take the series back to the small screen, but it's very difficult though. Among them, you can sign -as thousands of viewers have already done- an online petition which could bring it back, or send a personal email to faces@thewb.com, writing a descriptive issue to ask Warner Bros. to take the series rights and finish it from its channel (although it's already watched on The Warner Channel in our country, not FOX). Obviously, I've already done both of them more than once :). It may not be totally effective but, by trying, there's a little possibility to be success and be able to know the true story destiny.


Those who already know the series and who must think it's interesting, should take a little time for both possibilites, and for those who haven't watched it yet, it's still worth knowing what it's all about.
